Re: lowering the burbs
It's not a 90 but mines got a 6"drop in back 3" drop spindles 1"springs with 1 coil cut which dropped the front 5" or so.

Re: lowering the burbs
Yes its a 6" flip, I haven't noched it yet so it dosen't have alot of suspension travel.

Re: lowering the burbs
Nice looking burb! I was running a 4.5" drop up front, but I kept destroying my lower control arms.
What size wheels and tires are those?

Re: lowering the burbs
My control arms don't hit, the crossmember has bottomed out mostly going tall speed bumps. rims are 20x8.5 all the way around tires are 245-40-20 in front and 265-50-20 rear

Re: lowering the burbs
I was running 235/60-15's on the front, which are about 1.6" shorter than your front tires. Hmmm, maybe I should go to 20's and drop my Sub back down again, I like the stance on your truck.
Or I could just bag it, but I'm not a fan of air suspension...

Re: lowering the burbs
when I put my 15" ralleys on it goes down about 1.5" and grinds on everything thats when I decided on puttin 20s on it! I want to bag mine eventually but the back is a b#*ch! nobody makes a kit and there are body mount issues and other cr*p! so I'm holding off for now. I'd love to put a dropmember in front but there is no point if I cant do the back. If I do it I want to lay frame! I'll just stay with the static drop until I win the lottery or inherit a fortune!

Re: lowering the burbs
Ya I've seen that one before, that thing is bad. I wouldn't want to pay for his gas. mine is hard enough to keep gas in mine at $4.00+ a gallon. you know that big block sucks it up. there is another thread on here with a bunch of bagged burbs. the thread is called "post pictures of your favorite suburbans." do a search there are some sick rides in that thread!

Re: lowering the burbs
I have a 454 in my Sub and it's well tuned and maintained and it still only gets 7 or 8 mpg around town... It costs me almost $20 a day to drive to work!
Dropping the rear all the way down would definitely have to be a custom job. I was fine with a static drop in the rear, but now I'm thinking if I bag the front, I can avoid damage to the control arms a little easier. What the heck, it's only money, right?

Re: lowering the burbs
Mine has a 350 with a 5spd manual 3.42 rearend gearing and I'm lucky to get 10-12 in town. I'm building a new 350 cuz I don't know how many miles are on mine it's the 3rd truck that I know of that its been in. So I figure it's tired and worn. It's just hard to do things to my truck since I live in a apartment and don't have a garage. I've built mine in my carport a little at a time so I don't piss-off my landlords to much! That and being unemployed with 5 kids is puttin the brakes on alot of things I want to do to it.

I'm doing a flip in my duallie sub but I worry about the tires hitting the body cause 1 is under truck and one is in the flare may have to cut the fender lip out I have 235/85/16 on dually rims old dirty pic I had

Re: lowering the burbs
I found this site after I dropped mine so there is no build thread. what pictures are you looking for I might be able to help. from what I understand the 1ton duallys suspension has some differances than my 1/2 ton but I'll do what I can. I was kinda thinkin about doin a phantom dually with mine and running some 20x15 in back with some MT 29x18x20 Sportsman S/R's. I think that would look sick and keep the back end planted around corners.

Re: lowering the burbs
GMbowtie79 I wanted to know how much clearence you have in the rear above you tires to wheelwell
if the chart is right you rear tires are 26.3" tall my 255/30-22's measure 28" tall just wanted to see if a flip will work or should i do a hanger/shackles kit for adjustment

Re: lowering the burbs
Dually, my back tires are approximatly 30" tall. I have 3" of clearence from top of tire to the wheel well. I hope this helps. when I first lowered it it had 31-10.5-15's 0n rallys and they didn't rub either. I don't have a notch so there isn't alot of travel to start with.
