need a 4-holer measurement
Some of you guys with a 58 or 59.
I need a weird measurement. From the bolt hole on the front fender where it mounts to the door pillar area up to the fender's flat area in the front of the wheel opening that is just in front of the wheel. Since I am having trouble with the subframe I am trying to see if the 58 - 59 front fender's wheel opening is farther to the front than the 57. If it is, I mya have to change to a 58-59 clip so the fender will clear my wheels so i dont have to recut my frame and move it toward the rear. |

Re: need a 4-holer measurement
Yes it is further to the front. The wheel opening on 58-9 is 44.5" and the 55-7 is 43.5" from the bolt hole to the edge of the fender lip at the lowest point. The firewall to axle center line on 55-59 is the same. The 58-9 has a longer frame than 55-7. The difference is in front of the axle. 58-9 frame horn is 3" longer in the area of the bumper mounts. Take a look at this down near the bottom it has measurements that may be useful.
