2wd Blazer rear leaf springs
I have a 73 2wd Blazer. I was going to lower it 4 inches in the front with 3 inch drop spindles and 1 inch lowering springs. I want to lower the rear 6 inches from factory height. I think my rear springs have lost some of their spring. The rear is level or even lower than the front by a little. I tried to load pics but the files are to big. My Blazer is listed in the for sale section with pics. (Dont ask me why they loaded there and not here) I was planning on buying a flip kit for the rear but there isnt enough clearance between the top of the leaf spring and the bottom of the frame. The flip kit for Blazers doesnt come with a c notch for the frame. They say it doesnt need one. I read online that you can have your springs re-arched but it doesnt last. Does anyone know if truck springs are the same or where I can buy Blazer springs to return it to stock height. I need to get it back to stock height so I can flip the axle.

Re: 2wd Blazer rear leaf springs
The rear leafs should be the same as a truck leaf as long as you use the 52" version. There are two different length rear truck springs. 52" and 56". This is an eye to eye measurement. I found out the hard way when I tried to use some drop springs, that I already had, on my old '82 2wd blazer. Just get the correct length. Also the rear frame section will require a c-notch with the flip kit. And the center section of the rearend is very close to the bed floor. There is more room on a pickup than there is on the 2wd blazers. Good luck.

Re: 2wd Blazer rear leaf springs
I have done a little asking around and I plan to use a 93 blazer 4x4 leaf spring, which will lift it just a little. Then flip the rear. I think it will net about 5 inches of drop that way. The springs are supposed to give you enough clearance to not have to do a c notch since they should be a little stiffer. I'm not opposed to c notching if I have to though. Then I will judge how to do the front after that to match it. I'm thinking 2inch spindles and 2inch springs--since I'm gonna use rally wheels and think that 3 inch spindles will make the a arm grind on the wheel.
Worse case--I have to do a c-notch Even worse case--to keep from bottoming out on the body if I put a couple hundred pounds in the back--then I'll have to do a helper airbag. Bottoming out is not an option for me. But I think I would be happy with just 5 inches. Thats me though.

I knew you would pitch in and correct me if I was wrong.
Here is what his truck looked like with that setup.

Re: 2wd Blazer rear leaf springs
Digging up an old thread, can anyone point me to the exact springs mentioned? I was looking at a few places and just don't want to purchase the wrong springs. The 93 4x4 springs appear to be exactly what I was looking for to go with my flip kit I've already got. Thanks!
