Cool New here, with my new(FREE!) ride..

My father in law gave me this.. 81 GMC Sierra.. brand new engine(flattops, 4--bolt mains, Edelbrock cam and lifters, Hooker long tube headers), new TH350 with a mild shift kit, all new clutches, steels. A little elbow grease and a little vision and she'll be nice!

Thanks everyone for the kind words and welcomes.. I'm thinking swapping over to fuel injection.. maybe a Edelbrock Pro-Flow and then going with turbos.. if I keep the 355 in it.. I've got a big block sitting around here doing nothing.. so maybe injection and turbos on that.. I really don't plan on lowering it too much, maybe just a leveling kit. Oh, and this may be a dirty word here but, I'm gonna paint it Chrysler B5 Blue.. I think it'll look good with that color and a set of Torq-Thrust IIs on it.. what do ya'll think?

Nice ride, welcome to the board. Some girls have the best dads. Something yours and mine have in common. He has helped me so much I am rebuilding a 65 GTO for him. Best advice is to make sure the generosity goes both ways.

Welcome, from central Indiana! Nice ride. My father in law passed away before I came along, but I hear he was a helluva guy. Enjoy!
