Lowering a TF truck on stock susp.
I am working on my Dads 55 he's on a budget that I pretty much helped him go through pretty fast. I know he wants the truck lowered. I almost had him talked into an IFS from TCI but with the new motor having to be done we are back to square one on the susp. He doesn't not want to do the sub frame (which was my choice for it) he wants to try to lower it with the stock stuff under it.
So, I thought I had seen somewhere that you can flip the front beam on top of the springs and get 5.5 " drop. This would work about perfect since he is after about a 5/3 drop anyway. Questions: Anybody done this? How did you hook up steering afterward? Any hidden issues I will find trying this? Tire size you were able to run afterward? Next issue: Installing the Freebie 71 Camaro Power Steering box. I think I can pretty much figure it out but if anyone has done it do you have pictured that might save me some head scratching? Possibly remember how you hooked it to the stock steering arm? Last issue: Rear is most likely like ever other truck I have lowered. Put on top, add blocks until the desired height? If I'm wrong on this stop me now before I get out the torch... Thanks in advance for any help on these. [SiN]

go for the dropped axle in the front. the steering box you want is a toyota 4x4 box, pre 85' the one with solid axle. never seen anyone use a camaro box before.
