Flex-a-lite black magic owners - relay?

So it's warm, and the fan is running when I start the truck. Obviously, the fan is drawing high amps and the starter solenoid just goes click click..I was thinking of wiring in a normal closed relay that would switch off the fan during start so the starter motor cranks! As it is, I have to go, pop the hood, adjust the fan thermostat so the fan isn't running and then start the truck, go back set the fan thermostat back and be on my way..very annoying.

Has anyone thought to install a NC relay for this purpose?

I guess the other option is to go buy a real battery rather than the 550CCA costco battery I have now.
