throttle cable help

I,m trying to find a new throttle cable for my 78 454 auto,mine has the pop on type to a ball on the carb,but every where I go all they have is the one with the eye on the end.any one have my style that they know is stock so I can order one.All the places I,ve been don,t have any pics of the parts

we don,t have autosone we have napa & lordco I didn,t think therre was so many to choose from

hello,just put a new carb on with the same
problem,my cable had the eye.for now with a little
force the eye popped over the ball,,then i put a (slip on clip i call them)
over the stud so it was in between the cable and ball just to be
sure it didnt pop off.works fine for now till i find new cable.

Doorman Products inc. That company sold the correct cable, when I sold auto parts for a living (1970's). I don't have a link, but googling might bring up the company, and perhaps an on-line catalog. Once a part number is known, a "GOOD" auto parts store should be able to order the item. It sure sucks, having to do the legwork for these new auto parts people.

After they get fired from the parts house they go to work at W**-M***. My brother is a manager for that company.
