new guy from Oregon
Ok here's everything relevant about me.
I bought this truck somewhere in the 80's. Had kids then and not much room to work, so I cleaned it up a little and drove it around town. In the 90's I moved to Oregon and used it to haul lumber for awhile, but things started breaking and I didn't have time or money to keep it ended up so it sitting down by the barn for 15 years baking the paint off. A couple of years ago I built a decent garage and finally had room to work. I ride motorcycles and got involved building a chopper. It came out pretty nice, won a first at the local show, but now I need something else to play with. Just hauled the old truck up from the barn and hosed the wasp nests out of it. I'll attach some pictures if I can figure out how : )

Re: new guy from Oregon
Welcome from the middle of Washington state.
It looks like the truck is still pretty solid and will make a great slicked out truck once again. I really like the looks of the bike, I've been thinking of one on the same lines for a long time. |

Re: new guy from Oregon
Welcome from Hillsboro Oregon. Looks like you have a 64-66 cab and a 62 grille. If it turns out anything like your bike it's gonna be a bad truck!

Re: new guy from Oregon
Thanks Frizzle and everyone else too.
So that's a 62 grill. Didn't know, but then I can see where they fixed some front damage once. I'll be happy if it's anywhere near as good as the bike, I'm going to try to put a lot less money into it. You know a new V8 can be half the price of a V twin? Sad isn't it. Anyway thanks for the support everyone. I've got it taken apart now and will be doing things out of order. I want to get most of the painting done before the rain starts, so I'm striping sanding and blasting the cab now.

Re: new guy from Oregon
Sounds like you got a busy rest of the summer. Welcome from your southern neighbor. You'll find there are several guys on this board that like bikes (I do, but haven't had one for a long time) and if you go to general discussion and start a thread about bikes/choppers, a lot of guys will jump in. AND there are a lot of cheap parts in the parts sections- you should be able to stay on a budget with your truck. Keep us in the pictures!
