LS1 fans installed!

I installed the fans yesterday. I did remove the radiator. The parts used are listed below. The painless wiring harness was used with the old fans. Sensor plugs directly into the passengerside head. The '08 145 amp alternator has no problem power fans to full speed. The fans cool the ZZ4 very quickly. You can pull up and hear the fans suck air through the radiator. The shroud is great compared to my previous setup.

Parts: Painlesswiring harness (195 on/180 off) Painless Wiring #30102 $64.88 at www.summitracing.com)
LS1 dual fan setup ($40 off craigslist)
2 GM fan electric connectors part number #121011917 ($23.99 each)
1 48" piece of aluminum stock (HomeDepot $8.00)
1/2" bolts, nuts and washers ($10.00)

I plan to drive this afternoon in dead stop traffic. I don't plan to worry about cooling anymore. The A/C should work better too.

I think you are going to notice a huge cooling difference. When I installed the electric fan on mine, it cooled so much better and faster. Your install looks nice also.

Re: LS1 fans installed!

So you did the same install then. That is what I wanted to hear, since you are from here also.

Re: LS1 fans installed!

No the fan I used is out a Jeep. Some sort of performance model.
The fan with shroud is the height of the radiator, and almost as wide.
Its a two speed fan, but I only run it on high. It moves a lot of air.
Here are the only pics I have:

Re: LS1 fans installed!

Any help you can give me on where to find a good fan that will work...preferably a good used one seam how the construction market is dead here, cuts the budget bad.

Re: LS1 fans installed!

You can search other fans too. Try LS1, jeep, Mark V, Taurus, and Viper.
All these vehicles have high performance electric fans.
