Wink Here's a good thread on gear choice for all you lifted blazers...

It goes over 35 inch tires thoroughly which is what most guys here are running so I thought it would be useful for some.

The entire thread is mostly about everyone's own opinion and what their currently running.

I skipped a couple pages so maybe there's some hard evidence in the thread somewhere but until I see a gear chart w/ tire size and motor RPM's in each gear it's all just speculation and personnel preference.

Research is understanding and understanding makes better choices available.

True, some of those guys are running 4.88's and one guy said 5.13's!!! I just posted it to give a general idea of some people's impressions of different gear ratios with 35 inch tires, not necessarily a guideline.

I have 3:73's,rebuilt axles,locked,36x12.50-17LT TSL SX's.
350/700r4
Trans has a low 1st gear so i don't need any lower gears,and it's getting a 383 this winter.
