Test Firing Engine - Vaccum Lines
I am going to test my engine in the morning and need to know what to do with the vaccum connections on the Carburetor. It is a 350 with an edelbrock carburetor. This truck goes into the body shop for Body and Paint on Monday and I need to fire the engine prior to that. No sense in major engine work or engine swap after a nice paint job. I also read a thread one time about all the things that needed to be done to test fire an engine that doesn't have the complete electrical hook-ups inside the cab. Everything is stripped down for paint. All I need is the good feeling that the engine rebuild was successful. Is there such a thing as a vaccum diagram? Thanks for your help like always.

Re: Test Firing Engine - Vaccum Lines
just plug everything but the vac advance unless you are timing it then plug it time it and plug the vac advance back in. do your 20 min cam break in ranging from 1500-2500 rpm then your good to go

Re: Test Firing Engine - Vaccum Lines
when test firing an engine it's always smart to have a fire extinguisher handy
