Re: whats a frame and cab worth?
sounds like a decent price, scrap value would be probably 250, but as parts they would probably be worth more. I have been quoted 300 for good cabs.

Re: whats a frame and cab worth?
I saw a complete truck in my area with no running gear, straight body go for $1100.
Of course it always cost more to buy. That's how they make their profit. Joe sells for $80 a ton and they turn around and part it out making a HUGE profit. Of course they have overhead and get to deal with the EPA guys with all the leaking fluids and whatnot. We have a Jeep yard in my area where Jeeps are taken apart as soon as they enter the yard and every part is tagged and entered into a computer. You can walk in and ask for anything and its on a shelf or a rack priced and condition noted. |

Re: whats a frame and cab worth?
I bought my white 61 for 200, cab only. I was quoted 300 for a 61 ex forest service cab. they were both 99% rust free.
I have also gotten 1 cab and 3 complete trucks for free! and a 65 and a 66 both complete runners for 500 each. |

Re: whats a frame and cab worth?
I am kinda like Jon, scorin freebies at every turn. I just came into a '63 long fleet with 37000 original miles on it. Strait as a arrow and not even a hint of rust anywhere. 6 banger and a 4 speed that hasnt been started since 1970, fired right up and coughed up a bunch of smoke and cleared right out. Drove it home for $100.....let the hating begin

Re: whats a frame and cab worth?
I'd say you did well at $400. In my area you'd pay about $400 for just the cab without that hood, fenders, frame, etc.
