Re: luckiest guy in the world!
It appears she is doing the work and you are just taking pics. You better let her drive it when it is ready. Have fun with it but you still better take her out on Friday nights.

Re: luckiest guy in the world!
That's pretty cool. Good luck on the truck and relationship. It would be cool if you guys learned on it together. My wife helped me out for about 2 hrs once before we were married and I had similar feelings. Now if I'm out in the garage for too long, she get's upset. (At least she green lighted the project and understands my passion. Otherwise it would still be in it's original pale yellow with 3/4 ton running gear and a long box. There's always an upside.) Keep the progress pics of the build coming!

Re: luckiest guy in the world!
I have to agree with daniel u. My wife was excited about old trucks when we were dating, but once she didnt need to impress me anymore she stoped helping. Now its all I can do to get her to let ME work on them!! Good luck with everything.

Re: luckiest guy in the world!
Man when I was 16 I had to hang around the horse stables to hit on the girls. I never did find one that was interested in my cars. Sounds like her Dad raised her like I did my daughters, the oldest still likes wrenching (we restored a 67 Mustang together when she was in high school). Youngest knows enough to not get screwed by mechanics and parts guys, but always buys new cars. If you are really lucky Mom taught her to cook and she really likes watching football when not in the garage. Good luck, looks like a keeper...

Re: luckiest guy in the world!
When my wife and I were dating she was always in the garage with me. Now she says i'm neglecting her because i'm out in the garage all the time... I just list the 1,000 other things I could be doing that would be much more detrimental to the budget and the marriage. I'm going to keep at it though my son and daughter are catching on at 6 & 4 years old.

Re: luckiest guy in the world!
I've been married a bit over 39 years and my wife's answer to her friends who comment that I am always working on something in the garage is "at least he isn't sitting in a tavern". In that 39 years I think she has only had one car that ran when I bought it but she has usually driven some pretty nice cars along the way and is on her third Cadillac now.
