Free front end
Just the sheet metal, not the suspension. I just swapped the hood, fenders, radiator support, ect from my 81 K5 Blazer and will give the old one to anyone who will pick it up. It includes the bumper with turn signals in it and rubber bumper strip and all grill pieces. It will be missing some if not all the headlight hardware and the horns. I will help load but will not box or ship. All the sheet metal is still bolted together with the exception of the hood. PM with any questions.
Also willing to give 2 sets of highback seats from a K5 one from 76 one from 79 (minor differences in drivers side bolt pattern) and 1 Blue stock center console to who ever picks them up. I will be posting this on the pickup board later this week if there are no takers. edit: It is rust free. I just swapped for a newer style. Last edited by tobiahr; 10-20-2008 at 02:21 PM. |

Re: Free front end
What year is the console. If it's an early style with cup holders I am interested.

Re: Free front end
it looks just like the one in my 75 Blazer, but that doesn't mean much as it has a few non year specific goodies in it..

Re: Free front end
I think it actually came from a 83 sub but I can't be positive as the sub was custom when I bought it.
Its listed here http://austin.craigslist.org/pts/858956817.html It has cupholders that are removable. The seats are here http://austin.craigslist.org/pts/858966473.html Last edited by tobiahr; 10-22-2008 at 08:08 AM. |

Re: Free front end
Thanks, but I already have that one. It's the later version.

Re: Free front end

Re: Free front end
well so far you an N2TRUX are the only nibbles. No PM's, nothin...seriously if anyone wants any of this come get it while gas is less than $2.30 a gallon. I posted it here for free because I've gotten enough good advice from this board to save me more than the cost of this stuff in mechanics bills. Just trying to return something to the board.

Re: Free front end
So would you be willing to ship the front fenders if the receiver would pay for it?

Re: Free front end
Currently the entire front end is still assembled (not on the vehicle) with the exception of the hood. If I cannot find anyone that wants it as a unit I may consider parting it out. I didn't want to ship because at the current time I have no way to pack these items and the prices I got from shipping companies where almost as much as the new or good salvage parts cost locally.

Re: Free front end
I would like the seats and console. How soon do you need them picked up?

Re: Free front end
You are being more than fair. I appreciate what you are going through. I was trying to get rid of a complete 305 engine a few weeks ago, and it was like people wanted me to pay them to come get it.
The reason I asked is I can't make the drive to Austin this weekend, I already have other plans. But if you would be willing to hold it until next weekend, then I could come pick it up. If someone else can pick them up sooner, then by all means let them have it.

Re: Free front end
Last call on this sheet metal. Going to the junkyard for scrap weekend of Nov. 15th. I don't have the supplies to box or ship any of this stuff. If someone wants it shipped and can get a courier or another board member to come and get it thats fine with me.

Re: Free front end
Tobiah,
I left at 9:00 this morning. Got almost to Brenham and broke down. Waited almost 2 hours for AAA flat bed to show up and haul me back home. Guess I shouldn't have tried to drive the truck... it's never been more than 20 miles from home since I did the engine swap until today. If you can hold this stuff another week, I will try again next weekend.

Re: Free front end
That sux. I'll hold it till next weekend for you. Hope you get back on the road soon either way.
An update to the original description. There are 2 original grills available and actually extra headlight hardware. I also have a complete 81 front end wiring harness with looms. Last edited by tobiahr; 11-02-2008 at 09:21 PM. |
