Wheel Wells
Is there anyone who remanufactures rear wheel wells for the fleetsides? steel or fiberglass! Mine are in decent shape but dented up. I would rather replace them with new ones than try to fix the ones i have.... thanks!

Re: Wheel Wells
The rear fleetside wheel wheels sold by Classic Parts, formerly Chevy Duty, are for '67-'72, but advertised and sold as correct for '60-'66. Speaking from experience this is not the case and I returned the pair I bought for one of my 4-5-6 Chevy trucks and bought a nice, used set from eBay.

Re: Wheel Wells
thanks for the responses! i have searched everywhere and had a feeling that was the case... i would think that would be one part that would be desired to produce and sell! i am sure i am not the only one out there that has an original wheel tubs that have been abused over the past 40 plus years.
thanks again!

Re: Wheel Wells
Thanks, STL
And congrats on the two skunks. maybe it was a sign on what color to paint your truck and maybe a name for your truck "Pepe Le Pew"

Re: Wheel Wells
I personally just installed some blog software on a domain. I just fill in the info and click the button. The Articles button on the right shows everything to date.
http://www.links4jeeps.com/egg/ Its a temporarly location until I put it where I want it. As for the fenders I was looking earlier too. The ones I found said they would work, but do not fit exactly. I'd rather have exactly than to have to butcher new ones which I'm sure the holes will not match and have to go patch crazy. |

Re: Wheel Wells
The problem with the rear fender tubs being sold at Classic Parts it the contour of the arch and the hole locations at the flange...neither match the stock rear tubs.

Re: Wheel Wells
Im sure they can even read prints, use a tape measure or a calculator.
I learned, but I guess even I can still screw things up. ![]() |
