air bag set up ?'s

for those of you with the S10 frames, what did you use to lay frame? I found a complete air bag set up in a magazine to lay frame in a S10 for $1,200. Would this be a smart move or is it cheaper to piece it together instead of a complete kit? Thanks in advance!

If you know what you need then you can piece it together like I did. I would rather pick from a couple companies on some things. If it is your first time buying an airbag setup then a kit is fine. Who are you going with?

Re: air bag set up ?'s

this is my first air bag set up. i have buddies who have had thier cars/trucks bagged in the past and said they'd give me a hand if needed. I'm just trying to find the better/cheaper way to go.

The kit is on airbagit.com & its called the Street Scraper S10 Lay Frame. $1,195 is for the rear only. The entire kit is $2,795. seems kinda steep to me now that i think of it. http://airbagit.com/popup_image.php?pID=7183

I'm wondering if i'd be better trying to get these parts used from the S10 forums. Any insight is appreciated.

Run as far as you can away from that company.. It's AIM industries garbage!!!
On every forum there are numerous threads about the inferior products, poor customer service and outrageous shipping/restocking fees..

There are a few companies that you may pay more, but you receive a better product and are there if you have questions or need to return a product..

*****************
avsontheweb.com
ridetech.com

All much better products than anything that AIM industries has to offer..
(yes, I am talking from experience with them)

AIM is junk. Just my personal opinion but I believe I share it with many others. I got most of my stuff from *****************. They are probably the best quality for a reasonable price. Maybe seem a little high compared to others but you pay for quality. I bought the C-notch kit and the front bag kit. Fbimini.com is where I got my 4 link and upper and lower control arms. That's all I needed. All in all I think I spent around 2 grand.
