swapping a 700r4 with a 350 transmission
Ok people help me please... i have a 85 SWB that i dropped a 350 TBI in. Well several months of driving it my drive and over drive went out on it. So now i dropped a 350 tranny in it. first time it leaked all the fluid from the front seal on the transmission. so now i put a new seal and i noticed that it is leaking from the converter . My question is do i use the converter that came with 350 tranny or what.. do i need to change anything else to get this thing on the road..thanks in advance

Re: swapping a 700r4 with a 350 transmission
Well for starters the 700r4 converter is different spline count so yeah the th350 converter is the one you need to use. The leak most likely isnt the seal or the converter but the pump bushing which requires you do replace that seal one more time but you need to take the front pump out to do it. The bushing kinda looks like a cam bearing sorta and gives the converter a surface to ride on.
