Solid Rear Cab Mounts?
I am doing away with my rear factory style mounts on my1950 truck. I want to go with solid type mounts like the front mounts. Does any one have any pics of their mounts they have used or advise on what I should use?
Thanks, Renegade |

Re: Solid Rear Cab Mounts?
The mounts on the back are rubber so the cab cabn flex with the frame. If you make both front and rear solid you will start developing cracks in the sheet metal weld joints.

Re: Solid Rear Cab Mounts?
With the original frame I would say that Dave is correct. The frames were rivited together and made to flex somewhat and the cab was mounted to do so also. If the truck was changed to independent suspension and the frame was boxed it probably wouldn't be an issue.

Re: Solid Rear Cab Mounts?
I have installed independent front suspenssion andthe frame is boxed, also x member is installed also. I will be using rubber pads between cab and frame.
