Dome light pin switch placement?

I am adding options to a customer's very basic '68 GMC truck and I have questions about the placement of the door jamb pin switches and about how all of these plug together at the fusebox. I am using the AAW underdash courtesy light harness, cargo light harness, and dome light harness.
Does anybody have pics of their install similar to this or a factory setup? Pics at the fusebox would be great also.

The wires should have plugs that serve as jumpers and should plug directly into each other. There is a pigtail that comes out of the fuse block and the dome light plugs into this, followed by the courtesy light into the jumper wire ad the cargo light then plugs into the jumper on the courtesy lights, so the cargo light luminates when its switch is on and the dome light is activated or the door is open. The plugs are straight forward if this is a stock type harness. Hope this helps, Harold

the only trouble is, there is no raised pad in the 67/68 truck door jamb for the switch.

True...I was thinking of putting the switches in the flat part of the rear of the bodyside doorjamb near the cab corner. There is a space about 3/4" wide and 2 3/4" tall there just above the rocker seam. I was just looking to see what others have done to solve this.

I've been thinking about the lack of raised pad on my 67's for the switch. I was thinking about brazing a nut onto the pillar somewhere between the hinges & threading the switch in there.
