Rear brake interchange
Will the backing plates and brakes swap from my 68 6 lug rear end to a 5 lug 70-72 rear end? If so what drums should I get for the 5 lug axels?

Re: Rear brake interchange
I do believe the backing plates are different to offset the difference in the axles lengths. I swapped aftermarket axles into my 68 housing & used 71-72 5-lug drums w/no problems.

Re: Rear brake interchange
I guess if I bought the drums that would tell me if the backing plates work.
