Brake & Suspension up grade?

I have an 85 1/2 ton. I believe that I have the thin rotors. What would it take to upgrade to the thick rotors beside just the rotors? Calipers, spindles, mounting brackets ect? Also what can I do to beef up the rear brakes and suspension? I want to build this truck to pull a 7,200 pound enclosed car trailer. I thought I'd use an Air Ride lift kit for the times I'm pulling a trailer or hauling a load. Can I up grade the shocks to the 3/4 ton shocks (will they interchange)? I am going to add sway bars to both front and rear. Thanks in advance.

Re: Brake & Suspension up grade?

I just put something on another thread but cant remember which one so here goes....as far as the front, I am sure you would need the calipers and brackets and all, but I have never done this, so keep checking. The rear: IF you have a 10 bolt rearend, you can take the discs off of a late 90's (like 98 and up) and they will bolt right on, and the only fab work you will have is two brackets for the ebrake and a brake line on either side...a member of this forum (jmedero) did this mod on his 73 Nova, and I kinda helped.....I think he had like 400 in the whole setup, but he bought the complete rear end (it was cheaper from the junkyard this way) and he replaced all the rotors and pads. Hope this helps, and he is willing to help with any questions, so find him!
