Billet interior pieces??
Alright, so someone tell me where I can find polished billet interior trim pieces. I want the instrument panel, dash insert, and door panel inserts, all polished. I can find them out the wahzoo in brushed.
One company, Carriage Works used to make them either way, but have quit making them polished. I have searched everywhere, and called several places, but no one has them. I've seen several pics of our trucks with them. Somebody has to know where I can find them at.

Polishing Aluminium
If all else fails Mike, you can try the aluminium polishing stuff from Eastwood and do it yourself. Might be the cheaper alternative than buying all new parts. Hey, if you screw, up then buy the new parts.

Mike, I know that they both have them, you just have to call them and specify polished finish. I almost ordered the polished bezel from parr but havent had the $$ .

Dave,
called Parr, no go. The other one has them, but they look like brushed to me. They don't list a phone number so I can call them. I have searched every damn site I can find. No one, and I mean no one, make them in polished.

If you get a design template, I bet a machine shop could get it done for you. Most of them work with aluminum and may be able to do it for you. Just a thought.

Mike I've only found the poished column parts nothing on the other parts. I've even searched dealers on Ebay and still nothing. I'll look in my catalogs here to see if anything in them.

Try this site they have a package deal for the Instrument & Dash Insert. They also carry the Door Pieces. They are also cheaper than empire where I got mine from. Here's the Site http://www.trucknvans.com/billetacc/

Yeah, Carriage Works makes them just like I want, but as you seen they are not polished, only brushed. They used to make them polished but for some strange reason, they quit.
I've searched everywhere on the net and can't find what I want. I guess I'll keep looking. Thanks for help Steve.

1Low,
I looked at the site you posted before and when I saw them, for some reason I thought they had the puckey looking air vents in them. I didn't know these were $280.00 extra. Damn, who would want them ugly things sticking out of their dash? Anyway, after looking again, I seen what you were talking about, well looking at your site helped too. I ordered a complete set, instrument cluster, dash panel insert, and door panel inserts. And they are polished. OH yeah!! Thanks for making me see the light. Sometimes you need to open your eyes to see what is in front of you.

What's the main difference between the billet and the brushed? Does one require more maintence to look good?
Anyone know where I find some seatbelt assembly covers that are aluminum or chrome? |

It's all billet aluminum, but they have brushed and polished, just like grilles. I wanted polished pieces to match my pedals and steering wheel.
As far as maintence, I would say polished would require more time over brushed, like any other polished aluminum does. I was also looking for seat belt covers in billet. You can find this stuff all day long for 88 up trucks, but so far I've not seen any for ours. I guess this is part of the reason it's so much fun working on these things, it's like going hunting. You search the web and when you find it, it's like killing a big buck or something. I know one thing for sure, this billet stuff is expensive as all get out. But it sure does look cool installed.

I would dare say they won't fit. I tell you what, you buy them and try it and if they work, I'll get some.

I would think that they would work from 84-91 since the wiper controls are moved from dash to column then. But don't take my word for it
