What heads for a 355?? to many choices ARRG!
Hey guys, maybe you can help me with this problem. Its a toss up between Dart IE's 200's with 72cc or re-done Vortecs. I want to run a 272/284 Voodoo in it as well, anybody have this combo? I have a shift kitted t400 with a 2800 stall already in the ol' girl with 3:73's. It's a 68 LWB with the proper 4 HEADLIGHTS lol! Thanks Sean

I personally like the darts. Lots will say Vortec but the dart will flow better unless the vortec's are have some work done.

I'm leaning towards the Darts, that way I don't have to get a new intake( just got the Performer RPM in the spring). They are also in my price range as well, because of all this white cr#p we have on the ground, I won't be back at work for few more weeks.

Re: What heads for a 355?? to many choices ARRG!
Thanks for the welcome, I've got quite a bit of helpfull info from you guys already.
The Darts are about $580-600 from Competion Products assembled, and 350 or obo from Terry Rosebush Motorsports on Ebay. The pistons a Speed Pro Hypers with the 72's and deck about 10:1 With the cr*ppy weather were have here, snow, about a foot at my house and 5-7 feet where were building road, the cash isn't coming in, so I "need" a project to keep me busy without dumping more than G LOL!!! ( kinda like getting 200 from her for a new toilet, spending it on the truck, and coming home with a used one LOL!!! |

what is the lift of that cam? If its over about 489 ish stay away from off the shelf vortecs. You can have the springs changed and get the spring seats machined. Sounds like the darts a a better choice for u. Unless you get "built" vortecs.
