What do you think of these?

Not crazy about them but I can get a pretty good deal on a set, these would be for my short bed crew with about 4" drop. I want to stay with 17" or 18" so I can still have some sidewall on the tires. They are Foose spank

Re: What do you think of these?

I wonder if anyone has a set or could photoshop them for you. They seem pretty neat and I'd like to see them on a truck.

me too, seems like they always look completly different installed on a truck. $500 seems like a pretty sweet deal though

Re: What do you think of these?

Yo! cochino12!
You can get those for HOW much?! They're beautiful! FRANKENTRUCK will (eventually) get a set of, just as you say, 17" or 18" rims, and for the same reason, sidewall,...keep the rims up outta the rocks. etc,...Also, with my 4.11:1 rear gears, I need a little larger tire. Those rims would be perfect. I'd also like to see them on a truck,...but I also have a great imagination!!
Where are you getting them from,...in Denver? Foose, huh?Todd.

Just got an email from the owner, said $500 is his bottom dollar. I might have to pick these up

It's hard to go wrong, unless YOU don't like them.... I like them pretty good but it's not my truck.

I like them but I wish I could find an actual picture of them installed on something, this is the only thing I can find. Sometimes wheels look completly different in a real photo compared to the manufacturer picture.

Re: What do you think of these?

Yo!
I'll NEVER get to own a set of those! Best I could find via search is 18x9 Foose Spank 8 for $380 each, looks like $941 for four. Sure are beautiful!
Todd.

Re: What do you think of these?

Get em chopped. Post pics in the PS forum and see what it looks like. If your going to lower it, that wheel might look too bulky. On the other hand if your going to run some big rubber, they should look fine.

Heres all I can offer for pics. Not even close on the truck, or wheel but it gives you an idea of what a big truck looks like on those "style" of wheels. FYI- These are 20x9.5's

I dont really have any good pictures of the truck but I think you may be right about the "bulky" look, especially in a 17" rim. After looking at tires that are available for 17" I dont think its going to work anyway. I think I just got a little to excited about finding some foose rims cheap ha ha

I'd like a "sport" look for the truck but since I'll be driving it a lot I dont want really short sidewalls. I think I'm going to have to pony up the $$ go with 20" wheels to get a big enough sidewall. Maybe something like these?

Re: What do you think of these?

It's unfortunate that AR quit making the wheels I posted. They are one of very few 8 lug wheels that had covered lugs.

I like these the best, simple styling, and easy to clean-

Re: What do you think of these?

Yo! Y'all and especially cochino12!
I just made arrangements to purchase and pickup this set of four Foose Spank wheels this Sunday!!
Remember what I posted: "I'll NEVER get to own a set of those!". These are wheels that are normally WAY outta MY price range, so this is a once in a lifetime deal for me! That's why I want to sincerely thank Adam (cochino12) for his PM to me this eve with the link to the seller.
My tire dudes (Peerless Tires in Greeley) tell me they have the same tire that's on FRANKENTRUCK right now to fit the Spanks,...except 31.6" diam. instead of 30",...which would reduce my rpms at highway speeds (the truck has 4.11:1 rear gears) to a better range, and still in the 350's power band. And the tires that I have are of a great Colorado rock and snow width, and have a good highway tread.
The ol' lady OK'ed the purchase too,...even she was impressed with the deal!
Again, thank you cochino12!! FRANKENTRUCK will look fantastic with the "bulky" looking wheels,...I'm a sucker for the Cragar SS and Keystone Classic look. These are quite similar, and I love the detail in the background behind the spokes. I've got "old guy" preferences, I guess.
These wheels are almost TOO good for FRANKENTRUCK! Thanks, Todd.

Re: What do you think of these?

You could do a 275/50-17 Nitto 450 Tire. Those are 28" tall I think and would fit a 17x8 wheel perfectly.
