securing kick panel speakers -

O.K., I ended up cutting down my kickpanels for my speakers so that they would fit. What does everybody secure them with? Sheet metal screws, or double sided-tape? They are clearly not going to stay in by themselves.

Re: securing kick panel speakers -

Tell you what I did...
I bought a pair of the plastic kick panels from LMC. Then I wrapped them both in black tweed. Next I built two speaker boxes to hold my 6.5" speakers and wrapped them in black tweed as well. I screwed the wooden speaker boxes through the back with wood screws and a good eye. To actually put the kick panels in I did use sheet metal screws through the kick panel into the metal in 3 differant spots for each one. Finally I cut a little piece of tweed out and glued it on the screw heads and you cant even see where I put them. Works well when you are putting material on the kick panels...However there is some kick ass velcro or locking double-sided stuff out there, some so strong getting things unstuck is quite a b@#$ch.

Hope this helps in your application...

Sheet metal screws work well.
