double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
We built this for a gentleman on the board here for his 67. This x-member has a drop out transmission mount and mounts for the stock lower trailing arms. This is a weld in unit and is priced at $899.00. Again, as with all our products, it's 100% TIG welded and comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
No, we don't sorry. As a manufacturer we don't always have the good fortune to be able to shoot the installed piece. This was made for the guy on here, and we did mock it up in the truck (obviously, LOL) but it was made before I could get pics.

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
that will stiffen up the frame for sure..
is it a pro street truck or something where he wouldnt want any frame flex? or is it purely asthetic

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
I don't know the exact app for him, but it serves both purposes. Pro-Street or daily driver, you can never suffer from a stiffer chassis. It will always only help the way your trucks ride or handle. And yes, it is a lot better looking that the stock crappy piece, LOL...

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
That is nice but I wouldn't want to put it between our ugly stock frame rails. Would look awesome between custom 2x4 frame rails.

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
Why would a street truck need this type of rigidity? Not knocking it, just curious.

for his chassis. He said he has looked at other after market companies and did not see anything he liked. He gave us a call and asked if we had something different. We e-mailed about 75 different style of x-members he saw one he liked and ordered one. This customer is building one badd ass truck in tnn. He also is running one of our Scotts Superslam ifs that has 13 inch 6 piston calipers on the front. He has just ordered a set of our custom trailing arms we make for these trucks.Hopefully you understand now. Justin www.scottshotrods.com |

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
So the only benefit for a stock frame is cosmetic ?

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
I am building this truck for a lil bit of both worlds strength and sight. The truck we are building has the Scotts Superslam suspension as Justin at Scotts said earlier hopefully we are doing 14" Brakes up front and not 13". A LS2 engine rated at around 450 HP. 12" rear brakes, 3.73 ratio rear, 22x8.5 wheels up front and 22x10 in the rear so in the benefit to me is both cause at the shows around here no one will even come close to this setup on a 1966 Chevy Stepside.

Hey here's a few pics of his C-notches too Before anyone says anything about the price, these c-notches are an exact match to the contour of the stock frame and are custom made. That being said, this set runs about $499.00 Sorry for the bad photos I didn't take any really good ones before they got packed up..

Very nice work, I am always impressed with what you guys do.
I believe I talked to Justin at Reso last year? You guys had an impressive display.

Re: double x-member with trailing arm mounts!!
Any time you can increase the torsional strength of the frame, I'm in. Is this structure going to be butt-welded into the channel of the C-frame rail, or is the frame being boxed?

Then there are boxing plates we made that go with the x-member that have cut outs for the round tubing. Then you will do a finish weld on the outside of the box plate and the tubing. Justin We are glad all you guys like the x-member Justin www.scottshotrods.com |
