Re: a lifted `62 project

Hello from Arizona,

I too would like to see more and larger pics of this build. I can't believe how many 4x4 Builds of these years of trucks that have come up on this board in the last few weeks. It's Great!!! Have you been over to the 4x4 Forum and checked out the thread "Post Pics, Lets See How Many 4x4's Are out There". If you haven't go on over and check it out. Lots of neat 4x4's, stock and converted.

Re: a lifted `62 project

From past experience I would guess that the 3" body lift was the result of the custom mounts to fit the '62 body on the '79 frame.

tht is exactly right! we had to lift the body so that it could sit properly on the frame. when we tried lining up without the extended mounts, the body lines just werent lining up
sorry about the hang up on the pics, Ive been battling a flu and losing, but I`ll be going to my friends house tonight so i should get some pics then

Re: a lifted `62 project

Oh ya!

I had to make some spacers that are probably about the same as body lift spacers, for the front.

I'll have to get some pix.
