Any Seat Pictures in your Pickup and what are they from??
I am a ways from needing interior seats in the 48, but would sure like to see some pictures of interior seats and what the seat came out of. At times I like the idea of a bench seat with a fold down arm rest, then I think buckets with a console would be nice. Post some pictures if you got um! Thanks

Re: Any Seat Pictures in your Pickup and what are they from??
I've probably had ten more seats in my 48. The most comfortable before I chopped it was the stock 48 seat that a friend in Waco Tx redid for me. He took a trashed seat and made it into one that I could drive 500 miles a day on and not be worn out.
Since I chopped it I have had a 66 Toronado seat that really fit the truck well and was pretty comfortable and I wish I had kept it and had it redone. I have had several sets of buckets that didn't fit right nor were they very comfortable. I keep looking at the Dodge mini van captains chairs in my Dodge Mini Ram van as a possible seat as they are super comfortable and I think pretty close to the right height for a stock cab AD truck. The main thing is that you need a seat with a slim and almost straight up back on it to be able to fit the cab and have leg room. Also high back seats look tacky in these trucks so I'd stay with a standard back seat. |

I agree, I don't care for the high back buckets. This truck actually came with a couple of early 70's Cadillac buckets. They just don't have a lot of shape to them. I kind of like buckets with a little more contour.

Re: Any Seat Pictures in your Pickup and what are they from??
I have 07 Yukon third row seats in mine. They are low back so you only see a little of the head rest in the window, but it is offset to the outside. The 3 point seat belts are built into the seat so no modifications are need to the cab walls. I built a frame so the tilt mechanism still works for access to behind the seat and under the seat. Look at the "Lurker Orrie" build thread, lots of pictures and details on the frame starting at reply 98. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=233305
edit, added pictures

seats from a 94 chrysler concorde but many chryslers from 90 to 96 used theese seats, the headrest are comming off. you just need to make your own mounting brackets. also a rough idea of my console in cardboard.
