Windows won't roll down....Help!
The windows on my '62 are extremely difficult to roll up or down.
It helps if I lift the window, crank a little bit, wiggle the window, shake some more... I need a little advice before I tear into the doors. How do the handles come off? They look to be different than my '69. I'm hoping for a clean,lubricate,re-assemble type fix. Am I looking at that or something else entirely. A bit of "been there, done that" help goes a long way. Thanks, Todd

Re: Windows won't roll down....Help!
Looks pretty similar to my 63. Door and window handles are located by grub screws recessed into the handles. Remove these, also the arm-rest which is located by two screws. Remove screws from panel surround, you then have access to the regulator mechanism.
I had this problem on mine; basically it's wear, tear and weather which ruins the strips. Don't be tempted to leave it, I wiggled my window once too often and broke the spot-welds which hold the channel to the regulator. Be very careful when removing anything inside, it's a good idea to photograph things before you strip them if you haven't got a workshop manual. I would renew all the weather-strip if I were you, not expensive and worth doing.
