Accelerator petal quandary
I had planned on using a Lokar petal and linkage but after reading the directions you can get on line I believe I might do better with a stock set-up from a 70s/80s vehicle. Has anyone had experience with this kind of petal for their ride?

Re: Accelerator petal quandary
I sold the assembly out of my 74 donor truck to a guy for a street rod. Push the pedal and the upper rod pulls a cable through the firewall to the carb linkage. I am using the stock 59 V8 linkage in mine. Why won't the Lokar work?

Re: Accelerator petal quandary
It would work but the directions showed some kind of hole in the floorboard etc. etc. It just looked much harder than it should. I've seen an OEM setup somewhere that looked real simple to install but don't remember where I saw it. Plus the Lokar must be made out of platinum. $$$

Re: Accelerator petal quandary
I used one out of a late 80s, early 90s van with a throttle cable from a same year truck.
