Hey guys,

I am needing a crossmember for my 700r4 , to in my 64. Can i get a member out of a later model automatic truck to swap in ? if so could you tell me what years will work , please. I have the day off tomorrow and plan on heading for a relaxing day at the spa , ( thats the big you-pull-it lot in nashville) my wife says im crazy for spending my day off in a junk yard.

Most wives don't get it - not a requirement.
You can use an automatic crossmember from a 67-72 - you'll probably have to drill new frame holes for repositioning. Good luck.

Man if I was closer I'd go with ya. I don't need nuthin but I like going to em. As long as it's wide enuff you can make it work. But to get your e-brake to work I'd just get one out of a truck like yours.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=322471&page=3 Look at posts 69 thru 72.

Jason is correct about the emergency brake setup though.
