Old custom classic trucks have soul. Their dashboards aren't plastic, and they've survived both the best and worst of what the 20th century had to offer. For the owners of these trucks, it's often the same story. Through both good and bad times they persevered, until one day they could turn the key and roll up in a customized truck everyone with good taste would admire.Custom Classic Trucks

Re: My Ratrod 62

The bench seat is from a 90's truck, It has a 350/350 combo from an 80's chevy truck with centerbolt heads. I did use the stock control arms both upper and lower. On the lower bag mount I just removed the factory bumpstop bracket and welded it to the inside lower lip of the lower contrl arm. And use the hole from the bumpstop to bolt in the slam bag. A 2600lb. bag is alittle tight in there but it doesnot rub! On the upper bracket I used some 1/8 plate and bolted it to the crossmember. The truck is pretty dented up so I went for the Ratrod look with the satin primer. It has 15in. truck ralley style wheels with 235-60-15 front and 255-60-15 rears.

I do still have my 64. I recently bought a new to me bed and rust free big back window cab. And I am waiting on Kevin from LFD to get some free time to weld in my C-Notch.
