new bed and 9-inch rearend
Hey guys its that time of year again and this year I got the new bed and rollpan installed and just about got the sheetmetal all aligned up and going to start getting it in grey primer this summer and the cab painted along with the bed. I finally got the rearend off ebay for 500.00 bucks what a deal its in Ohio and thats to the door via freight. I going to order the Air Ride Tech universal triangle 4link and will buy the bag brackets and get it hooked up in the truck. Its 60 inches from back plate to back plate with drums which will be upgraded to 12 inch disc along with pulling the limited slip center with 350 gears to 378- 388 somewhere in that are with a posi-lock center drum. Also here are some pics of the latches once installed inside the door notice this can be disassembled also some pics of my bike with the custom fishtails I had vance hines short shots on, so I cut the top pipe off 8 inches and slide the slip on fishtails and made customs brackets to hold pipes in place along with the new gansta white walls you cant buy this setup, custom and worked out great.. The bike was wreck when I bought it and it is all custom motor work and the bike setup was done by my hand and money most of all hehehe.
Will have more pics when rearend gets here next week once I get it hooked up in the truck. |

Can you give more detail on your latches? Are the aftermarket bear claws or adopted from a late model vehicle?

Re: new bed and 9-inch rearend
nice!!!!! are you keeping the 3/4 rear fender with the spare tire divot? or are you going to smooth it over. i don't think you could put a spare there. or is there enough room?

Re: new bed and 9-inch rearend
Thanks mylow53 have been keeping a close watch on your build and man you did a great job bud enjoy it mine got about another 2 yrs on the build left cause I not gonna short change my ride and all the good stuff is going in it. No I'm not keeping the drivers side rear fender got a brand new one from my x-father in law got a 51 and bought it brand new and never used it he had his gas tank fill in the rear fender and was thinking about putting it in the bed but change his mine, all I have to do is put the bear claws latches in his after he gets his new doors with the push button door handle I can make it work with cranks and he doesnt want poppers in it, which I dont blame him..
