'71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
Does this belong to anyone here? Anyone seen it in person before? Barrett-Jackson hopeful or am I that misinformed about these trucks?

very very nice truck.
I wonder where he got all the NOS nuts and bolts. And no, it won't sell for that. |

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
I think he has been standing to close to the tailpipe for a looooong time.
Of course if he paid some one to build it then maybe he spent to much to have it done. |

That price is ridiculous.
Nice truck though.

Too bad he appears to live on a gravel road/driveway. That's not going to do his flawless paint job any good.

It gets better- I remember when it was first posted some months ago and he was originally asking $75K.

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
This truck is almost identical to a truck I saw at the Charlotte Autofair that listed at 65,000. That was a beautiful truck but $65,000? I went back and looked at pics I had from the Autofair and it's not the same truck. This brings up a question: under what circumstances would one of our trucks be worth $60,000+?

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
Hopefully an accident doesn't happen, cause goodluck insuring it for that.Until our trucks reach 59chevy status,I agree with bigmike.Allthough we have no problem spending $30,000,do we?

Why would you say:
Quote:
Why spend the money on a crapload of NOS parts and then have a non-factory engine? They say right in the ad that they are maing it "look like" it was a factory big block. That price is way out of line.

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
Rokcrln beat me to it. It would equate to 50 weeks of 40 hr work weeks to achieve 2,000 hrs. of hand buffing that paint. It seems that he was one NOS bolt short on his radiator hold down, maybe its just my screen. I agree about the Fesler truck being worth that

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
OK, Big Al, I'm with you on the Fesler. Let me rephrase my question: when would a stock truck be worth $60,000+?

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
Do a complete frame off on a very nice well optioned vehicle, and throw thirty thousand cash in the glove box.....JMO, and in this economy keep an eye on that cash, 'cause there wont be alot of buyers at "that" price.

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
I don't know were you all have been but it is worth every penny he is asking. Heck he says they spent 2000hrs just rubbing out the paint! At a low $35 per hour that is a full year of work weeks and $70,000 for the shine alone. Heck I only have 400 hrs into my entire LowBuck build
