1958 GMC long bed
was given a lond bed rolling frame with bed minus front clip and cab this trk has a gmc v8 with hydramatic trans can anyone tell me anything about this engine and transmission wanting to sell but would like info thanks

Its most likely a 336 Pontiac motor. The trans can be wotrth some money along with the motor to a GMC owner. Worth next to nothing to a chevy owner. post the vin number off the frame

Yes. They even used a buick motor.
GMC, Pontiac and Cadillac were branded together back then. The GMC cabs were different inside and the drive line was different. Now the difference in Chevy and GMC is trim and a few options. |
