how wide of a tire will fit
How wide of a tire will fit on a stock width rear end, before it rubs the leaf springs in the stock position but still fit inside the box wall (I will probably cut the stock wheel wells out)?

I don't know about a leaf truck but if you swap to trailing arms you can fit a huge tire. I had a 71 with no mods to the wheel wells and had 28x12.5 sportsman pro m/t's on it with a 10 inch wheel.

29x14.5/15 Hoosier Quicktime Pros on a 15x12" rim with 7.5" backspace will fit trailing arms and cut fenderwells, stock rearend.

I have M/T 29x15R15 with 6.5 inch backspace, fits fine with about 1 inch from leaf spring.
