WTB 73-87 front sway bar
I'm looking for a good used front sway bar from a 3/4 or 1 ton 2WD. I would like it to have all the brackets if possible but not necessary. It also doesn't need to have the bushings, I'm get new ones anyway.

I figured here might be a bit of a long shot, but hey you never know. I'll keep looking around here at junk yards and walmart parking lots

Re: WTB 73-87 front sway bar
I got mine for twenty bucks w/c-clamps. plus 33 shipped for the brackets *from a bored member* that go to the frame. bushings are going to run ya about 20 bucks for the good stuff. then bolts, haven't prices that out yet. if the bolts from the donor car are still good, you could run those. I want to switch to grade 8 my self just to be on the safe side. the more you can take from the donor car the better. so if you have tools to bust off rivets, I would do it. make sure you get the c-clamps. I got my sway bar off craigslist from a guy that is parting out his truck. I know of a few around here that we might be able to get including a one ton that had one. but shipping will be a "b".

Re: WTB 73-87 front sway bar
Yea I figured shipping would be a lot. That's kind of why I'm hoping to get one real cheap so I can afford to ship it. My plans are to get all the brackets from the donor, but hardware isn't an issue I can get them from work for free. Grade 5 or stainless.

I would prefer a 3/4 or 1 ton but If nothing comes up in the next week or so I'll PM you and let you know. In the mean time do you have all the brackets? And could you figure shipping to 68127? Thanks

Re: WTB 73-87 front sway bar
I do have the "c" type brackets for around the bar. I do not have an extra set of mounts for it though. I got one off of a Suburban that I was getting some other parts off of. So, I have my stocker just hanging out in the garage. Just let me know if you want it.

Re: WTB 73-87 front sway bar
How big of a hurry are you in? I have an 82 3/4 ton that I am going to part out . The truck is 99% complete. I live in Rapid City so shipping shouldn't be too bad. I'm just not sure how soon I can get to it. Let me know if you can't find one and I'll help you out if I can. Scott

Re: WTB 73-87 front sway bar
I will let you know. I've been wanting to part it but haven't had time.I am self employed so that consumes most of my time. I am hoping to get to it in the next month or so. Scott
