steps
anybody got any pics of how the steps mount up just below the rocker panel?

just screw em in...i used alot of self tapping screws on mine...what kind of steps do ya have

the ones i had had 5 bolts through the rocker, and a couple of supports, they were the big boxy DEE ZEE style ones, f'ing ugly if you ask me thats why i took them off

Why just this morning my buddy and I took his big ugly DEE-ZEE running boards off. they had two bolts in the wheel well 5 in the rocker lip and one bolt in a strut connected to the frame.

do you have a picture of what you were thinking? like boxy steps, tube steps, etc? and they SHOULD NOT be only supported by the rockers, mine had a heavy bracket that attached to the frame to take the weight

they bolt up right behind the rocker panel and they are verry sturdy

with the lack of rocker on my truck i am thinking of making some that bolt to the frame (the only part that actualy still has metal)

ll take pictures tomorrow.. i have the "carr" brand steps.. i took some flat stock from ace hardware, and bolted that also to the rocker.. i pulled the screws back out after i made the holes and primered the hell out of everything back there just in case.. if you wan i'll post pictures.... i personally do NOT like mounting directly to the rocker itself... but that's my opinion...
