Finished with the drop!

I finally got everything buttoned up today. It has been almost 3 months since I started. I am very happy with the results. I really want to thank everyone for their help and advice. I still have a small brake problem I'm trying to fix but I will tackle that next week. Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. On my "Maiden Voyage" to the gas station I ran over a nail and now I have a flat tire. Its all good though....I wanted new tires anyway.

Re: Finished with the drop!

Thanks. The wheels are 20x8 and the tires are 255/35/ZR20. The backspacing is 5.5" all the way around. I picked up a nail in the front right on my first trip in it today. When I bought the set a few months ago the guy had put brand new tires on 2 of the wheels and the other 2 had about 50% tread left. I put the new tires on the back. I wanted new tires to go on the front wheels anyway. I think what I may do is get some beefier tires and put those on the back and move the other ones to the front.

make sure you wire wheel them and clean them up reeeallly nice first..
cause "chunky" paint ofn drums would totally distract me from the beauty of the rest of your truck

Re: Finished with the drop!

You know, I kinda like them with the wheels. And I really like the look the wheels give the truck. Great looking truck.

Re: Finished with the drop!

A 295/40/20 would look great in the rear. Unfortunately it might make the front tire look to short.

Regardless, it looks good.

I like the whole look... You don't want to have the same truck as the rest.

Re: Finished with the drop!

I am happy with the drop in the back, but I do kinda wish the front was a little lower. I was gonna do 3" drop springs but I was afraid I would run into clearance issues. Does anyone know if my current 2" drop springs will "give" a little over time. The dude at Summit told me to expect about another 1/2" of drop over time. Or its a great excuse to put in that big block I have always wanted. I am still undecided about the rails. They have this faux wood inlay on the side. Before I take them off I was gonna mask everything off and paint that part black to see if that makes it look better. I was originally going to lose them, the back bumper, and the "mammoth teeth" as my wife calls them and put on a phantom grill and a rear roll pan. I saw a truck in person the other day with the phantom grill and I didnt really like it as much as I thought I would. As of right now I want to get a sport bumper, a panel to smooth out the tail gate, and a different grill. I wanted to put SS emblems on the fenders and grill and a super sport script emblem for the tail gate. I guess I will try to photochop some of this to see how I like it.

menace121978- I dont think I will do a notch. I didnt feel like I needed one. I can get in the back and jump up and down and I cant get it to bottom out. And Im a big boy, 230 pounds.

N2TRUX- I think I would like the bigger tire look in the back. The only problem is that my current tire is really close to rubbing the wheel well by the bed. If I run a spacer to give me more clearance will I have to get longer wheel studs?

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.
