Are they 2" springs in the front? And you said you are getting 2" shackles and leaf springs? How low do you want to go? Most guys put 2" springs and 2" or 3" sprindles up front and 2" shackles and take one or two leafs out. Hope that helps..

Re: lowering my 79 2wd k5
well its my dads friend that was getting the lowering kit, he said it was 4 inches of lowering for the front and a possible 6 for the back, nothing about drop spindles was said, it seemed like it was only springs, are drop spindles necessary? they would help the camber right? thanks, John

And on the back if you are getting 6" out of it I would say it's a flip kit. See if you can find out what he is going to use.

alright i appreciate all the help, ill try to find out more about it, just now i found out that it is 3 inch in front and 5 in back, so not sure, would 3 inch be to much without spindles? would it affect my camber considerably?thanks, John
