pics of backhalfs, 4-links, air bag setups
First I wanted to say this site is great, I've been searching through here for a few weeks. I have a '69 c-10 lwb that I want to make into a swb and have the body sit about an inch off the ground. I am on a budget and was wondering what the best way to do this will be?

If you are a capable welder, the least expensive/best way to achieve what you're looking for would be a weld-in notch, and a four-link/air bag set-up. The factory trailing arms won't allow you to get down quite that low.

Sparkyhunt,
You can find some good stuff through Porterbuilt & KP Components. I believe my entire truck is built from the two. Good Luck

Re: pics of backhalfs, 4-links, air bag setups
I want to do a 4-link and air bag setup. I also want to raise the height of the floor in the bed so won't have the big hump in the middle. Would I be better off redoing the whole backhalf or doing the c-notch. I have not been able to find any pictures of anybody redoing the backhalf with a 4-link setup. If doing the c-notch is a better option, what would be the best way to re support the floor of the bed.

A back-half will easily get it done, but it takes a lot more time and ability. As for the bedfloor, just make some spacers to raise the bed floor supports to the desired height, and make a new flange where the floor can bolt in like the factory had it.

Re: pics of backhalfs, 4-links, air bag setups
Nate this ones for you,
So what's the best rear set up for the most height? Meaning I am pitting the rear rails on the ground. I want to be able to get the most lift possible.

Re: pics of backhalfs, 4-links, air bag setups
In order to get the most lift, you need to run a double convoluted bag levered at around 1.5:1. That will get you in the 10"+ range. With that much lift, I would recommend a wishbone or a watt's link to locate the differential laterally. If you're looking for a kit, let me know and I can put something together for you, or help you find what you need! PM or e-mail me.
