Curious
Just curious, it's been alot of years since I've played with these things and it seems now, that the in thing is to go with an underbed fuel tank to replace the stock seat tank. Why is that?

Another big issue can be for tall guys. Moving the tank out of the cab gives you more leg room. I am not a tall guy and I'm comfortable with the in cab tank. But I can definately see where it could be a problem.

Re: Curious
Mine was already moved when I bought the truck, but its a great place for a thumpin' stereo system.

The top of the seat already hits the back of the cab even with the tank in place. I do agree with the fumes and storage issue. The filler neck gaskets are usually the culprit and on a hot day it can be pretty nasty.

Re: Curious
To me it is mostly a safety issue. The passenger area just isn't a good place for fuel IMO.
Many years ago a woman who was dear to me, burned to death in a crash that she would have otherwise survived. She was in a truck with an in cab gas tank.....
