Vortec???

I have recently acquired a running Vortec 350 engine out of a '96 1 Ton, with all the accessories, computer, and wiring harness. Are guys swapping these engines/injection systems into their rides anymore, or have most people moved on to the LS based engines??

I haven't been up to date on trucks and things lately, due to the fact that i have been working like crazy, and helping out as much as i can with a couple buddies of mine who run IMCA Stock Cars.

If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Re: Vortec???

I've have a Vortec but carbed. There's a few people on the board that are going to LS swaps. You can use the search to find info on the swaps. You can also check out www.ls1tech.com. That site is full of info on either swap.

Re: Vortec???

I didn't know if people were still using these injection systems in their trucks, or if they had all upgraded to the LS engines. My ole suburban has the slobber box on it, and im either going to go carb or 6.0 when i git the money.
