front disc brakes
I have a 69 SWB 350 chevy with front drums. I want to change to disc brakes. I have been told that disc brakes from a 70-87 will fit is that true. Has anyone done this that could give me some info.

What you want is the whole cross member from a 71 or 72. But you can also use one from a 73-87 or so. Get the whole crossmember, front brake lines, master cyc, booster, bracket, peddle push rod, & prop. valve. Also get all the steering..tie rods, center link, idler arm, take it loose at the pitman arm. there are 2 holes (one each side) that you have to enlarge to get them to line up if it is a 73 or later. Then swap it out.

I just did this swap on my 68. I used a crossmember and other needed parts from a 79. Worked well. You will need to oblong 2 holes as wellas drill 2. The swap goes really well. Fits like it was made to be in there
