Rear Control Arm Bushings
Is there a particular way the bushings go in? Which side does the removable side go on inside or outside? These are urethane bushings by the way, using stock steel sleeves. Thanks for your help

Re: Rear Control Arm Bushings
I just did this myself over the weekend. They only go in one direction. On my 68' the long end was inserted from the drivers side of the trailing arm. Actully more like hammered thru with a rubber mallet until the rubber was flush. I then slipped on the removable piece. So on the drivers side the removable piece was on the inside. On the passenger side it was on the outside. Make sure to really clean up the inside of the metal sleeve. I used a thin wire brush and a spray solvent. Grease the inside of the sleeve and the bushing separately. Once in the trailing arm it was a ***** to get it back up into the bracket. Maybe because I did this with the springs and rearend attached to the trailing arm. I used a large screw driver to get it centered on the bolt hole. Hope this helps.
