Power brake boaster conversion

I am in the process of installing a 73-87 brake boaster on my 65 c20, I went to home depot for all thread to extend the push rod for the boaster but they don't have 7/16 fine thread. Where could I get some ? also how long do i need to extend it to ?

You might try NAPA - the store in my town stocks it.
Another option is to weld in a couple of inches of solid bar stock before the threaded part (I cut and re-combined/welded the 83 and 66 rods on mine to get the right length)

You can buy the parts instead of just rigging They don't cost much. We sell them. Can't beat that all thread though
