What are the torque specs for the clutch pressure plate, intake manifold and exhaust manifold bolts for a '66 327?

Re: Torque Specs
Per the 1960 Chevy truck shop manual, for a 283 the torque settings are as follows: I assume they are the same for the 327.
Intake manifold 25-35 lbs. Exhaust manifold 25-35 on the center bolts, 15-20 lbs on the end bolts. They also recommend putting the thin metal french locks under the end bolts and bending the tabs once the bolts are torqued. If you tighten the end bolts to 25-35, there's a chance the manifold will crack in the center sometime down the road (I know from experience). The shop manual doesn't show a torque setting for the pressure plate/clutch cover. Per the attached weblink the clutch cover should be 35 lbs. http://boxwrench.net/specs/chevy_sb.htm |
