Finally got this one delivered from Oklahoma here to Virginia. Truck already has several updates, HP 235, front discs, vacuum booster brakes, electric wipers, 12 V conversion, all conversions done to look as stock as possible. I'll probably look to freshen up the 235 and just drive her! No seatbelts is a bit to get accustomed to, looking at doing a 3 pt retrofit.....though doing that properly looks a bit involved.....

I appreciate following the conversations here on the forum, keep em rolling.

Re: New '51

Nice truck, from my own experience, I'd say put seat belts in it before you drive it very far or take passengers in it with you.
The reason why is that 31 years ago my wife fell out of our truck (the same 48 I still have) and still carries many of the scars from falling on the road and gravel. I wasn't moving very fast at the time, maybe 10/15 mph but when I made a left hand turn she went out the right door when it flew open. With the wheels and later engine it isn't a 100 Point stocker so seat belts won't compromise originality anyhow.

Sounds like hard earned, albeit very good advice. Thanks for the input.

Wow, what a nice ride. And, welcome to the board from two counties away from you.

That truck looks very familar. I think I saw it or one like it by Putnam City Highschool, here in NW OKC.
