Re: And still more 65 GMC pics
Nice pics... looking forward to the rest.
I do ask though that you please keep your pics in one thread and simply reply to it to add more pics instead of creating a new thread every time. It keeps the board uncluttered, and makes the project pics easier to follow. If you have a lot of pics, I suggest you create a Photobucket account, it's completely free and makes posting pics a lot easier without size restrictions and whatnot. Thanks. |

Re: More This is my 65GMC pics
Right now just trying to get it road worthy.Got a little out of hand when I started cleaning the engine.Started slapping parts I had laying around. You know how it is one thing leads to another. But seriously I needed a ride because well I got my oldest in college and he's taking my daily driver and I needed something to get to work and back. And well lets face it Obama Motors Corporation will never build them like this anymore and I wasn't about to spend a years wages on a new vehicle.

I like. The blue is a little on the ricey side but still better than before. Did they have non colored setups? Did they come with that backing plate?

Re: More This is my 65GMC pics
Whoa - those headlights look wicked. Too modern for the style of my setup but I'll bet they work a lot better than the old sealed beams. They would look great with some PIAA 510 Ion fog lamps I use to run. From the sides they appeared to be bright blue, directly in front they were radiation yellow. Sliced through fog like daylight, but looked too modern so I put them on my late model daily driver.

Love those lights if the trim rings don't fit how did you hold the lights in?

Re: More This is my 65GMC pics
I used the stock rings but had to enlarge the i.d. to slip over lamp.I will have to warn you do not let it get away from you as it will bend the hell out of them and beat the crap out of your hands to say the least. But yeah the rings are in place to hold lights in place.
