Vent Cable Question
I put a 63 heater box in my Sons 64 and there is a lever on the side of the heater box that isolates the heater core portion of the box and the vent strait from the cowl depending on which position its in. Now the hundred dollar question is what actuates the lever on the side of the heater core box in the engine compartment? Is it a stand alone cable that attaches to the bottom of the dash or what??? If someone has pictures it sure would help. I have a vent cable that looks like it attaches to the bottom of the dash that has a big V on it but it looks like its to short to fit in the middle of the dash where I would assume it belongs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Vent Cable Question
Some of the Deluxe-Air heater systems in the '63 Chevy trucks had four levers, thus four cables and the Deluxe-Air heater systems on the 4-5-6 Chevy trucks only had three levers, thus three cables. Feel free to call, if you want to discuss or sent photos of your underhood heater box, dash-mounted heater controls and the underhood heater box. I will be able to see what you have and perhaps help you with your application.

Re: Vent Cable Question
If I'm understanding you correctly, that lever is controlled by the cable that comes from the lever on the dash on the right that says 'HEAT'

Re: Vent Cable Question
On my 63 it is the cable marked heat as posted above, and it goes to the valve built into the heater core.
